Solar panel, battery and EV charger installers across Logan, from Springwood to Yarrabilba and the acreage south. In-house team. Call 07 3076 4590.
Logan is twenty minutes from our workshop in Acacia Ridge, and it is one of the more varied areas we work in. A 1970s lowset in Woodridge and a new build in Yarrabilba need very different systems, and an acreage property at Greenbank needs a different conversation again.
Custom Solar Power has been designing and installing across Logan since 2017. Every job is completed by our own team and overseen by Gold Master Electricians.
The older northern suburbs (Woodridge, Kingston, Logan Central, Slacks Creek, Marsden) are largely 1960s to 1980s lowset brick and fibro. Roof areas are modest, which means panel layout has to be efficient rather than generous, and switchboards in this stock frequently need attention before a battery can be added.
Springwood, Daisy Hill, Shailer Park and Rochedale South are 1980s and 1990s brick on larger blocks, and the defining issue here is trees. These are heavily established suburbs and afternoon shading is real. A system designed on roof area alone will underperform a system designed around where the shade actually falls at 3pm in June.
The growth corridor (Yarrabilba, Flagstone, Logan Reserve, Park Ridge and the newer parts of Crestmead) is modern estate housing. New switchboards, clean installs, and usually the fastest jobs we do. The constraint is roof space rather than roof condition: dark Colorbond, small eaves, and air conditioning units competing for the good northern aspect.
The rural-residential south and west (Jimboomba, Greenbank, Munruben, Chambers Flat, Cedar Grove) is a different job entirely. Acreage, sheds, often three-phase supply, and properties sitting at the end of long network feeders. If you lose supply in storms, this is where a battery with genuine backup capability earns its money, and where a micro-grid is worth a conversation rather than a standard rooftop package.
Every Logan system connects to Energex, and export limits and approval conditions vary by area and system size. The rural-residential edges of the LGA sit on longer feeders where voltage rise and export constraints bite harder than they do in the established suburbs. It isn't a reason to do less, but it is a reason to design properly rather than fitting the biggest system that fits on the roof. We handle the application and the paperwork as part of the job.
