Residential Solar System

This Witta, QLD project involved the installation of a 30.4kW rooftop solar system, comprising 64 × 475W Aiko solar panels. The system has an estimated annual energy production of approximately 41,264kWh.

The grid-connected system was designed to make greater use of the property's solar generation and support energy use throughout the day and into the evening.

Battery Energy Storage

The solar system is paired with a 25kW Sungrow SH25T hybrid inverter and two Sungrow SBH400 battery stacks, providing 80kWh of usable battery capacity.

The battery system stores excess solar energy generated during the day for use when required.

Power Trading

The system was designed to support Power Trading, allowing stored solar energy to be traded on the electricity market after sunset.

This gives the property additional flexibility in how its stored solar energy is used, beyond simply supplying the home's electricity needs.

Backup Power

The system provides near-instantaneous whole-home blackout protection and has the capability to operate off-grid when required.

The inverter and battery equipment were installed alongside the switchboard and meter box, with disconnection points installed to allow the solar array to be safely isolated.
